 Need multiple help with FR-809
Hello. I only now found out about this forum, and it seems to be that this is the only good forum for chinese tablets.
Im from Serbia, and I Smuggle tablets into my country, cause I get good price difference.
So, I was in Shenzhen couple of months ago, and bought myself 30 units of FR-809. bought also some spare parts. and, surprisingly ALL units sold are still working, which was not the case with my first batch of Superpads (Flytouch2)
Now, i have few problems with some of the units:
1. Root - whatever I do, Im not able to make it read-write and modify system files. root explorer 2.16 is not able to modify system files, after the device is rooted via Z4root. the actual problem is that when i press the R/W button - it doesnt change. It's also the same with Super explorer (which is the best root explorer in my opinion)
2. changing the TS - one of the customers sat on the unit and broke it, so we tried to replace the TS. I removed the old one, placed the flat cable into the ZIF connector - nothing. why is that ? I taught it's the rebooting problem, but multiple boots still dont help with recognizing the new TS
3. Screen calibration bug - this is more of a help, than actual question - I have found a way to bypass the stuck screen when calibrating after reset. as it turns out, calibration succeeds when you do it, but the boot is stuck for some other reason - do the calibration. leave it frozen for more than 5 minutes. restart. it should work.
4. Top of the head Idea - One of my broken Superpads is with internal GPS, no need for that silly antenna. is it possible to solder GPS onto the Freescale SoC, and for my FR-809 to recognize it ? are there "free" soldering spots, like the PCI bus-es on PC motherboards ? and, if there is such possibility, would system be able to recognize the newly attached GPS unit ?
thanks in advance. my biggest problems are replacing the TS, and rooting, at the moment. phone.apk is draining battery like crazy and Id like to remove it.
