Post Touch screen issue
I bought this iMX515 8inch tablet and I'm satisfied with it's performance but one thing is bugging me a lot!
There is a touch screen issue and as I can tell it's a hardware problem.
When you try to move icons on desktop it's very difficult to get a press-hold grab on icon. When you touch the screen there are some kind of distortions.
Is it possible to fix this? Do you all have this problem on your imx515s?

By playing around with the ts.config, I manage to eliminate a large amount shaking on the home screen. Now I can drag unwanted icons into trash bin and can draw almost perfect straight line.

Interesting to note is that my image has no ts.config to start with, that means that there were no noise filter which explains the shaking.

The parameter I played with is "module variance", may be one of you out there can optimize "module dejitter" to make it even better.

You can copy the ts.config file into /etc and give it a whirl.

This is great @sohosurfer1. I will try this today.
Which model do you have (the one with screws and one speaker or the one with no screws and two speakers)?
What value did you put for module variance?

I saved ts.conf to /etc yesterday and there were no difference if I changed the values. Also after reboot.

the addition of the ts.conf to my device made a difference in how mine performed, still, the touchscreen is a little sketchy when it comes to sensitivity

What values did you set in your ts.conf. You can copy those 3-4 lines here.

Are you now able to move an icon on home screen without trying 10 times to grab it successfully?

I used the default settings that are in the ts.conf file included in downloaded file that is linked in the above post. And, Yes, I can now grab home screen icons first try every time.

And what settings did you use?
Please post your values here, so we can compare.

I tried few values and didn't noticed any difference so I gave up.

Unfortunately the ts.conf seems to only work on the screwless model, not the two screw tablet. This has been my experience and also the experience of several folks on another forum.

On my device, it didn't have any effect. Sadly.
