List of USB GPS receivers that work on ZT-180
If you're using USB GPS receiver with ZT-180, would you mind leaving the brand name here so that people who want an USB GPS for the device, have a reference? Thanks.

Re: List of USB GPS receivers that work on ZT-180
I have the orignal 256m ZT-180 and is installed with 0415 firmware. I also have the GT- 730F usb gps receiver. Please tell me the steps of setting it to work on ZT-180. Thanks.

Re: List of USB GPS receivers that work on ZT-180
I plugged the Canmore GT-730F into the usb port on the ZT-180. The green LED light is steady all the time, does it correct or I expect it will flash?
After 20 minutes of plugging in the GPS, I still haven't seen a "satellite" icon on the top status bar, what's wrong?
If you have the GT-730F and successfully set it up, please share your experience with me. Thanks.

You need to be outside, with a clear view of a large portion of the sky, go to Settings/Location & Security and turn the Use GPS satellites off and then on. Then open an app that will use the GPS (Google Maps, MapyDroyd, GPS Test), then the USB GPS dongle shoud start blinking when it makes a connection to a satellite, then may take a few seconds till it gets data from other satellites till it can triangulate your position.....
PS - It's best to use the small USB extender with the dongle to limit interference from the tablet.....

Re: List of USB GPS receivers that work on ZT-180
Thanks Oramahum.
My GPS is flashing but I can't see anything in the GPS test after plugging in for 30 mins. Also I didn't see the "satellite icon" on the top status bar.
Can you figure out what is wrong?
Thanks.

Re: List of USB GPS receivers that work on ZT-180
Well if it's blinking, it did receive data from at least one satellite, guess it's not displaying anything because it's not receiving data from enough satellites. For me, at least with older ROMs (haven't checked with current ones), the satellite icon only appeared once, the first time I used it, but the GPS still worked even though the icon wasn't appearing. After the dongle started blinking, did you move around to try to get a clearer/wider view of the sky so it could connect with more satellites? I think I've told you this before, but for me, the blinking could start in front of my house, but it didn't get a fix on my position till I was closer to street or walked down the street a bit away from the trees on my block....

Re: List of USB GPS receivers that work on ZT-180
I went to the park this evening and tested my Canmore GT-730F again. I used the GPS test apk to test it. However, GT-730F was just blinking but nothing showed up in the GPS test.
I don't know what is wrong with my system firmware 0415 and the Canmore GT-730F.
Is there any way that I can debug whether the ZT-180 can recognize the Canmore GT-730? If you know, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi omarahum
I to have the same GPS as yourself and cant get maps to use it. It does flash but thats it.
I prefer to flash the tab using the burn tool. How did you get your rom version etc onto yours so the GSP works.
Any chance of getting this in a zip uploaded so i can download and try the flash.
If i can get the GPS working then the 180 is a good tab for general use.
Thanks and hope you will help

Re: List of USB GPS receivers that work on ZT-180
Sorry, I haven't been well, not online much these days when my back pain is this severe.... All the Beta ROMs have USB GPS functionality, and the more recent ROMs do not support burntool anymore (the ones using system.tar.bz instead of the system.pack.img). I've been flashing via the SDcard method for a while now....
