 Noob at zt180
Hello Just bought my epad (zenithink zt180) and im happy with it for the most part but it is a little laggy. i know you get what you pay for so im not complaining, but i was wondering if there was better roms for it custom or not. i used to flash custom roms to windows mobile things a few years back so i have to learn all over with android. but here goes i was told it is a 2nd generation zt-180 4gig with 512 ddr ram 10 inch screen. any info anyone could give would be greatly appreciated im loving the site and hope to help out with it one day. thanks in advance for any input you all have. and please let me know if you need any more info and ill try my best to get what you need.

mchustleThere are new more fast ROMs for your device (20110603, 20110618). I advise to look at topics on SlateDroid.com forum: http://www.slatedroid.com/forum/189-zt-180-v2/

 Re: Noob at zt180
Thanks for the reply I will be downloading the new rom this afternoon and trying to install. I don't have a tf card yet, but I think I remember seeing that you can flash it via thumb drive. Is this correct? I can find the tut again just figured I would see if I needed to get a tf card before I did it or not. Thanks again.

mchustleIt is not possible to flash the tablets through USB Flash Drive. And with your current firmware 0503 it is not possible to flash via USB connection with computer. ONLY micro SD cards can be used.

Below is quote from topic "[Guide]Flashing to 0603 with 0618 Kernel": http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/19405-guideflashing-to-0603-with-0618-kernel/If I get your posts correct then you have: Metal cover, Jade board, 512MB/4GB of memory. In termins of manufacturer it is H0 version of tablet. Accordingly you have to download all needed files as described at the above link: zimage - ftp://zenithink.com/dyliao/zt-180/kernel/20110618/H0zimage_adb - ftp://zenithink.com/dyliao/zt-180/kernel/20110618/H0zimage_update - ftp://zenithink.com/dyliao/zt-180/update/20110618_t/G0_G1_G2_H0/updatesystem.tar.bz - ftp://zenithink.com/dyliao/zt-180/android/20110603/inandupdate_data_module - ftp://zenithink.com/dyliao/zt-180/update (it is file of zero size) clear_data_part - ftp://zenithink.com/dyliao/zt-180/update (it is file of zero size) If I was wrong at description of your tablet then the files should be another, in such case correct me and I will collect links to needed files.

 Re: Noob at zt180
Use H if only yours has a metal cover. H serial does not mean that yours is H0, mine is a G0 with the H serial. Most likely its a G0 or G2.. green or blue depends Depends on your need: update_data_module - ftp://zenithink.com/dyliao/zt-180/update (it is file of zero size) clear_data_part - ftp://zenithink.com/dyliao/zt-180/update (it is file of zero size) for the new 0603 its recommended to flash the spl

 Re: Noob at zt180
I burnt some comps on my tab, it was JADE VER2.4. One question for you. Since you have the tablet open, can you give me the details of the U15. On my board it's near the charger plug, under the C130 capacitor. edit: I already figured out that the U15 comp is EUTECH EUP8057 now I would like to know whats the D3 component near charger plug
