Post OMAP 3530 Question.
Hi,

I ordered one of these from wirelession, hasn't been sent yet unfortunately.

One question though, how confident are people that it has a OMAP 3530 in it?

Reason i ask is i thought the 3530 was meant to be a 720mhz processor and not 600 as spec'd.

I'm just bracing myself for disappointment for if it rocks up with a OMAP 3525 or 3503 600mhz cortex a8 board that doesn't include a PowerVR SGX530 GPU.

That's good news.

yup,can confirm that it runs at 800Mhz in froyo. Weird thing is that info reports that it is an OMAP
3430 proc, even windows recognizes it as 3430 when running wince.

3430 and 3530 are same part, TI sells 3430 to manufacturers of phones
and sells 3530 in catalog- to anyone.

Battery life could probably be a little better, I think I get about 4-5 hours from mine. That is browsing the web using wireless and playing with the GPS and BT. Overall it is a durable little gadget. I like mine more more with each rom update that comes out. I don't see much lag when running froyo, good little device for the price.
