Any wifi, sound, etc drivers updated in this kernel version? Do they plan to release kernel sources? It could make A81 more popular among Linux users.

In Linux, kernel usually contains all the drivers for hardware. The updated kernel may have some drivers also updated. I'm still downloading Linux image (slow download) and going to try this kernel with it. Will report here if it supports anything.

New kernel didn't seem to have wifi/bluetooth as well.
Here is result of dmesg

I see there is an ALSA driver, but for wrong chip instead of Cirrus Logic CS43L22:

ALSA device list:
#0: omap3evm (CS42L52)

Also, there are some drivers for WLAN chip in /rootfs/tiwlan - not sure why they are not yet active.

By the way, here is a list of periferal h/w found on A81:

LCD: CLAA070LC0HCW - 7 inch 256K color (6 bit per component)
WLAN/BT: JorJin WG7210, which is TI WL1251 (802.11b/g) and BRF6300 BT 2.0 EDR chips. Linux driver for TI WL1251 are available from TI and as opensource since 2.6.32.

Sound: Cirrus Logic CS43L22 - 4 stereo in/outs + speakers + headphones.

Will try to build kernel for this h/w myself, but not sure how I can debug this... There is no serial port.

Post Re: A81 linux 2629 kernel download
From dmesg there are 3 serials devices.

serial8250.0: ttyS0 at MMIO 0x4806a000 (irq = 72) is a ST16654
serial8250.0: ttyS1 at MMIO 0x4806c000 (irq = 73) is a ST16654
serial8250.0: ttyS2 at MMIO 0x49020000 (irq = 74) is a ST16654
console [ttyS2] enabled

Probably need to take the case out and connect TTL<->RS232 with ttyS2 to get to the console.

As I thought, after disassembly the unit, I found connector to serial port next to the earphone. Surprisingly, there is also S-video connector hide inside the unit!!!
