Hi all,

I have a Chuwi J4 Androia 2.3 player from JTShopOnline.

I would like to ask, how do you install .apk apps and games on this player?
I have copied it into the root of the player and tried to open it using the File Explorer but it doesn't work.

you have done right , just find the right version of software , it is an lite version android ,. not all apk file works on it

I'm disappointed that the player doesn't allow you to install whatever .apk apps/games you want I thought it would be able to do more than just play videos. Would love to get apps and games on it as well.

Yes, I also spent pretty much time to find the right apps.
Use the "APKInstaller" instead Explorer.
A good working music-player is Mortplayer (+Mortpl.Widgets)
Beware of "3Cubed" and "Lithium" , too bad since they look awsome.
Apart from that I only installed simple apps (think of the low ram)
like ColourNote, Realcalc, Jewels, Memory, Solitaire
[BTW - can´t Imagine Angry Birds is running Levels higher 1-1 *lol]

I can't see the "APKInstaller" on my Chuwi J4 player.
The items I have on my player's menu are attached....... Unless I'm missing something, "APKInstaller" isn't available. Is it something I need to install seperately?

you're using mp4 system , you need switch to android os

restart the device you will see two logo , choose the android one and boot

I just found that out earlier as well
I actually didn't realise you can select between the two just by pressing the [-] or [+] buttons. I thought it was just to show you that it was a Chuwi player with Android.

Where do I get the Windows 7 drivers for the J4? When I plugged it in, it shows up "No driver found".

Just another thing, do I need a TF card reader in this player to be able to install my own Apps/Games on the Android OS of the J4 player?
