Has anybody tested the Novo8 HDTV out function?

I mean the 3.5mm jack tv output, not the HDMI. I bought a 3.5mm jack to 3 RCA cable ( the jack with 4 conductive rings and 3 black isolators) and put the RCA connectors in the right place on a SCART plug, but i can't manage to get some proper audio or video on the tv. The cable itself is ok, it works with my Canon camera.
The strange thing is that if I switch from panel to 480p, 720 or 1080 the screen flickers and makes a strange noise, when i pull out the plug only a fraction I have some messed up screen, so I really don't know whats wrong with it.

4-pin 3.5 Jack Plug - 3 RCA (phono) Plugs
- With 4-pin 3.5 mm jack plug to AV (audio/video)
- For digital and Hi-8 camcorders, as JV GR-BV1E, JVC GR-DVX, Sony CCD-SC7, TRV 101E, TRV 900, Canon MV 10, Metz CD 34
- Digital cameras with 4-pin jack socket, e.g. Canon S 30

This Video OUT is composite video, Green, Blue and Red. It's only for video. Audio out is 3,5 jack headphones . You must use two cables one to plug Video Out Tablet to In Composite Video TV and another one Headphones out tablet to In Audio TV .

I have tried 3 sets of cable, one is what you had suggested i.e. only the video out. In the composite cable I get sometimes split image in black&white if I play with the pin inserted to the Novo8. This composite cable works with my media player Sumvision Cyclone Micro2.

Neither my HDMI out works nor my HDTV out. Very unhappy situation.

I succeed in projecting 1080i image it on the hi-vision tube TV in HDMI ー HDFURY2 ー Component Video Signal.

I have the same experience as lantian with the cables and split screen when you play a bit with the plug. I tried Composite, component, RGB/YUV scart adapter plug...
So basicly it's not possible to have a TV-out function with the HDTV plug that's integrated!, or you'd have to buy an expensive HDMI to RGB(YUV)/composite converter...

That's a real bummer for me, I was hoping to get this function working as I'm not always in reach of HDMI ready TV. I still think that it should be working, Ainol will not build in a feature that doesn't work. Does anyone know if there is a special cable for it?, or they use a special or other connector in China
