The updater tool can be downloaded from here:

Now on to the guide:
NOTE: Ensure that you remove your memory card before upgrading as the process will wipe not just the internal memory but also everything on your memory card too if you don't.
Firstly, have the downloaded files on the desktop for convenience sake, then open the rk batchtool folder: the files contained within should look like this:

If it is your first time updating a window n50 tablet then you will have to install the driver for the tablet in order for your computer to connect to the tablet in update mode. go into the driver folder and navigate to the right one for you depending on your operating system.
Next turn off your window n50, then while holding the + volume button connect the tablet to your computer via usb (the one next to the sd card slot on the side of the tablet) yu can let go once the computer recognises the connect. As i said if it is your first time connecting in update mode then windows will report that the device failed to install. to fix this problem do the following
Right click on "my computer"
1:Choose "properties"
2:Choose "device manager" (In Windows 2000, you have to choose the "hardware" tab first and then "device manager"). This will display a list of the devices that are on your computer.
3:Right click on the device and click "properties".
4:Choose "driver" and click "update driver"
5:You will be asked to browse for the new driver.
When it finishes the install of the driver you are good to go. Run RKBatchTool.exe, it will look like this:

Notice the connected devices section? No.1 should be green indicating that your device has been detected.Next click on the button to the right of "firmware path" and navigate to where you have downloaded the firmware to and click on it. The only thing left to do now is click "upgrade" and let the software do the rest. Ensure that you remove your memory card before clicking upgrade as the process will wipe not just the internal memory but also everything on your memory card too if you don't. Watch the onscreen information in order to know how the process is going. Also note that upon rebooting after the update, the tablet will take anything from 2-4 minutes to load as it is wiping the cache and setting everything up.
Once the tablet boots to the home screen you will notice that the language has been reverted back to chinese. No need to panic!! Click the menu button on the top right of the screen. Next click on the settings button which is the one in blue with an image of sliders. You should see on the left the tab. Scroll down the left until you reach the option with an A symbol and some writing. Click on that. On the right click on the first option and scroll to your desired Language.
Well that appears to be it. If i missed anything point it out and good luck!!!
Oh and for those desperate to try out GTA 3 and found that unfortunately it didn't work on your firmware, well i've got some good news. IT WORKS ON 4.0 with SD data downloaded in-app.
